The Tale of Parsis

Ahura Mazda And The Flying Giants - Eden Saga - english

Hello, Today I am not gonna try to change your thinking but instead, I am going to inform you about a religion known as Zoroastrianism.
Zoroastrianism is an ancient Persian religion that may have originated as early as 4,000-8,000 years ago. Arguably the world's first monotheistic faith, it's one of the oldest religions still in existence. Zoroastrian is a religion that originated in Iran thousands of years ago.

Now the question arises why did Zoroastrians exile their homeland Iran and land up in India, and why does India have the highest number of Zoroastrians and not Iran. So many years ago, when the Arab conquerors were invading countries around the world, they reached Iran.

During that time Iran was completely under Zoroastrian influence and on entering Iran the Arabs had started destroying the Zoroastrian temples and killing the natives. In a decade or less, half of the Zoroastrians in Iran were dead, the rest were alive because they didn’t oppose the decisions made by Arabs. Slowly the Muslims started forcingly converting the Zoroastrians into Muslims.

At this crucial moment the Zoroastrians needed someone to make decisions for them, the Zoroastrians at that time didn’t have a king they had a high priest, Dastur Magawan Nariosang Dhawal, under whose leadership they sheltered. Dastur Magawan Nariosang Dhawal decided to escape the religious persecution by the Muslims, so Zoroastrians decided to flee Iran in 8 large ships. The Zoroastrians couldn’t leave behind their pious fire (known as Atash), the Fire which was collected through 16 different sources, including lightning, fire from a cremation pyre, fire from trades where a furnace is operated, fires from the hearths, etc. So, on a decided night most of the Zoroastrians exiled Iran in 8 ships with each ship having an Atash.

Finding for land the 8 ships reached island Div where the Zoroastrians held shelter for 19 years. They had made the small island their new home until Dastur Magawan Nariosang Dhawal sensed danger on that island and decided to go further East towards Hind.

The ships reached the Sanjan coast in Gujarat where King Jadi Rana ruled, he was a noble and generous Hindu King. The Zoroastrian High Priest requested the King for refuge and shelter in his Kingdom, in reply the King sent a glass full of milk to the emigrants stating that his Kingdom didn’t have enough expanse to accommodate the foreign community. The Zoroastrian High Priest mixed a handful of sugar into the glass of milk and sent it back to the king stating that the Zoroastrians will mix in your Kingdom as the sugar mixed with milk and moreover bring sweetness into your lives. This gesture by the High Priest impressed the Hindu King so he allowed the Zoroastrian to live in Gujarat but he had many terms and conditions like following the Hindu-Gujarati tradition of wearing bangles, making rangoli (Indian art form) everyday, hanging toran (decorative door hanging) outside the house every day and that the Zoroastrians should adapt to Hindu-Gujarati culture and language.

Compared to King Rana’s Mountain of requests, the Zoroastrians only had one condition, that no one will ever enter the Zoroastrian fire temple and that the Zoroastrians must be allowed to follow their faith. Being a pure gentlemen King Rana agreed to the condition without any questions.

Over the years, the Zoroastrians evolved and transformed themselves into Parsis.

Many years passed the Atash was shifted to various places and at the moment it resides in a small town known as Udvada in Gujarat. Till date the same fire (Atash) that was brought to India 1200-1500 years ago stays alive and powerful.

The Promises which were made to King Rana thousands of years ago are still followed by the Parsis, still, the Parsis have Rangoli outside their houses, still, the Parsis hang toran on the entry of their houses and, still, the Parsi ladies wear Gujarati bangles.

After so many years still, the Parsis haven’t forgotten the promises done to the Hindu King and nor have the Indian natives forgotten their promise of not entering the Fire temple. Moreover, not even a single non-Zoroastrian has entered any fire temple till date. So, the promises were kept and followed.

As of 2018, estimates show that there are some 100,000 to 200,000 Zoroastrians worldwide, with the notable Parsi community comprising a large part of this figure and numbering at around 60,000 in India. The Parsi religion is known as one of the most peaceful religions throughout the world and one of the richest as well.

Stop Manufacturing Students

Beginning with the current education system, nature has been deserted by technology. The universe is overflowing with discoveries and they aren't discovered in a space with four walls around you but are discovered by studying the atmosphere and looking at objects around you take the concept of an airplane as an example, it was taken from a bird's flight, and the concept of a train engine was made of boiling water.

Textbook learning prevents students from learning by nature, sometimes promoting the wrong way of teaching, which is portrayed as more important than actually understanding concepts. The processing of book information complicates the mind of the student, which further complicates the issues for an already extremely confused student.

The existing educational framework sets a paper of the same kind for various kinds of students, one who may be good in English and one who may be good in mathematics. It is as if you are telling a fish to climb up a tree and a monkey to swim in the water.

Current generation teaching is all about how much a student can memorize, it is not about intellect, rather checking the child's memory. If the student has an opportunity to copy and pasting information, it'll only be beneficial for the short term. It will gain them the marks they require. But it will be a preferred scenario if the student uses their intellect to address the question.

It looks like the exams are conducted for testing the memorizing power of a student and not the understanding. Therefore, I want to ask people from all over the world to start abstracting and stop retaining information.

Retaining is a short-term understanding whereas abstraction is a long-term understanding.

Give Respect, Take Respect

The respect line is not one way its always two ways and if it happens to be one way then its the last time you receive respect from that person. How much respect we get shows our reputation in the world and for receiving respect either you need to be rich or you need to learn how to give respect to get it back.

If a person is given respect he or she feels comfortable with you and in return he or she will give you respect with interest this barter system is a rule of conduct called "Give Respect, Take Respect". This is a feature which will be found in an classy person as per reports from the Harvard school of Humanities.
Respect is a type of long investment it is always a two way medium can't work one way.

Patience is the key to success

"One sheet of paper can not decide your life"
From the time we were children, we were forced to study. When we grew, exams were conducted and it was necessary to pass , the pressure of which really burdened our mind.

For every person a time comes in life when he/she will get a chance to gain success. We can take the example of Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook who became a billionaire  at the age of 22 and another example is of Colonel Harland Sanders the CEO of KFC who became an billionaire at the age of 88.

So you need to have patience because an opportunity may strike you any time and you must grab it.                                                                                                                                              -Arzad Khambatta

Who are we to judge ?

With education comes in open mindedness but it is vice-versa. Previously people were not detecting other people's fault and blaming them as it was only the question of survival. As time progressed we developed our own scale of evaluating what is right and wrong.

What is the distinction between them? Every thing is viewed with black and white with no shades of grey. Every person has his own perspective of leading his own life . We can not sit on the judgement seat and declare and banish the person.

What maybe right for one maybe wrong for the other. Let us not be ambivalent and focus towards being benevolent.

Man-kind differs

What made mankind different from other advanced species? Is it because of walking, working, making tools, using languages or collective intelligence?

It is because we have all properties in this existing world. Depending on the time we will reveal our property ,other species have only one special property rest of the properties may be same. Example donkey is known for his hard work but if u ask donkey to behave like camel(survive for long time without water) its not possible. Ask human kind then they will switch from one property to the other. Just of my knowledge i will tell. It may or may not be true.

When the first person landed on the destructive earth and he was naked with his wife that time it did not differ weather they are wearing clothes or not because at that time man had no such thought .
Then slowly we people started wearing clothes and if anybody sees us naked than the target will become frightened and this happens because we people have made such thoughts regarding clothes and then we forget our self, we have never seen a monkey being ashamed of coming out naked because that's what he has being come seeing from childhood. What the child sees he learns we did not teach him how t speak but seeing us speak he also learned the language. So that's why people say before making any decision be meticulous

Famous Quote by Confucius “Mankind differs from the animals only by a little and most people throw that away.”
